Google AdWords conversion tracking

Our website makes partial use of the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and associated conversion tracking. The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an advert displayed by Google. These cookies expire after 180 days and cannot be used for purposes of personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on this website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google may detect that the user has clicked on the advert and was forwarded to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across websites by AdWords customers.

The information obtained from the conversion cookies is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers that have opted to use conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users that clicked on their advert and were forwarded to a page provided with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that could be used to personally identify users. Users that do not want to take part in tracking can easily disable the Google conversion tracking cookie under the user settings in their web browser. These users will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. Learn more about Google’s Privacy Policy:
